Stop Making It So Complicated!
How am I over-complicating it?
By placing too much focus on the external. You see the world around you as the truth and thus are unable to stick to living from within. Your reality is simply a projection of what you are entertaining inside. Think of your reality like a dream. In your dream, everyone, and everything you see is just a part of you masquerading as something separate. You know that it is just your mind creating everything, you know that you are in no real danger, you know that it’s all an illusion, something conjured up by your mind. It’s YOUR creation.
Reality is no different. It is all YOUR creation. No one is doing anything to you. Nothing is an obstacle outside of your control. You are doing this all to yourself. The sooner you can realize this and take responsibility for your life, the sooner you will find peace. This is what Neville speaks of in all of his lectures.
So, what should I do?
“There is no one to change but self; that self is simply your awareness, your consciousness and the world in which it lives is determined by the concept you hold of self. It is to consciousness that we must turn as to the only reality. For there is no clear conception of the origin of phenomena except that consciousness is all and all is consciousness.” – Neville Goddard (1948) No One To Change But Self
As Neville so gracefully put it, all that is necessary is a change in your concept of self (embodiment of the wish fulfilled). How do you do this? By asking yourself these questions:
- “What do I want?”
- “How would I feel if I had what I want?”
Write it down. Play with it a little.
How would you feel, who would you be, if you had what you want?
Close your eyes and ponder that question again: How would I feel, who would I be, if I had what I want?
Did you feel that? Did your body relax ever so slightly? Did you get an image in your head or a feeling in your body? That’s you shifting states. It’s truly that simple.
What if I didn’t feel anything?
This is where persistence and practice come in. Sometimes it won’t be a noticeable shift, so practice getting in tune with your body. Notice how you are thinking on a daily basis, notice how you are feeling. When you are sitting still, how do you feel? When you are running errands, how do you feel? When you wake up in the morning, how do you feel? Getting connected to your body is a great way to help gauge who you are being.
This is why I also suggest meditation. We can get so used to autopilot that we are unaware of how we are showing up and how that is affecting us. It’s time to make your desired state your autopilot so you can manifest what you want.
What about techniques? Which one works?
They all work if you want them to work. You don’t need techniques to manifest. You’ve been manifesting your whole life without them. The purpose of techniques is to help you get into the feeling state – the wish fulfilled. If you find a technique that helps you get into the feeling state, then great! Just please STOP jumping from technique to technique, from coach to coach, from video to video, post to post looking for the secret.
The secret is you.
Neville’s technique was SATS, that’s what worked for him because he believed it would work for him. Some other folks swear by scripting because they believe that works for them. So, if you really want a technique, pick one that you ENJOY and STICK TO IT.
I’ve been doing everything, and nothing is working!
If you feel frustrated and like nothing is working, take a step back and get brutally honest with yourself. Have you truly been embodying the feeling state? Have you truly been diligent with your mind and putting Ego in its place? It’s a practice, a daily lifestyle. It is not something you do here and there in the hopes of proving to yourself that it is real.
Do you believe you can consciously manifest? Do you believe GOD is within you? Do you believe that your inner world is the truth?
It’s okay if you don’t. Work on those things first. Go to bed every night imagining you are a master manifestor, that you totally understand how this works, that you believe you hold all the answers. Because you do! You just cannot see this yet because you are placing too much focus on the external and allowing Ego to run a muck in your mind.
If you are feeling desperate or longing for your desire, you have given up your power. Your emotional stability is the most important part of conscious manifestation, is it not? You want this thing because you believe this thing will bring you peace. This thought is an Ego thought and therefore not true. Only YOU can bring you peace, love, happiness, whatever it is you want to feel. No one and nothing can bring you happiness.
Once you can accept that you are responsible for your inner and outer world, you will consistently find peace and your conscious manifestations will flow through easier. That’s because you now trust GOD and understand that the Law cannot fail and therefore, you cannot fail.
In Conclusion…
You are the only cause. If you want something, simply ask yourself, “how would I feel if this thing was already here?” and allow GOD to speak to you. If you notice you are no longer in that feeling state, don’t get upset or ask questions or doubt yourself, simply congratulate yourself for noticing and get back into the state (even if that means asking yourself that question over and over, until that feeling state becomes natural).
Manifestation should be FUN not FRUSTRATING. Above all else, your emotional stability is the most important. So be gentle with yourself, allow yourself to feel your emotions, and remind yourself every day of your power. There is nothing you cannot do. There are infinite possibilities, and all are available to you, if you choose them.
When all else fails, go back to the basics. Who are you BEING? Are you living from your creator state or your victim state? The choice is always yours.
